Crime Doesn't Pay for 2 Bank Robbers

In Brussels, Belgium, a bank robbing team applied an overabundance of explosives to bust open an ATM machine and were killed. They not only blew themselves up but took half the bank with them. Police located the victims among the debris. One victim had id papers from Kosovo. The explosion happened in a town called Dinant which is a town just about 90 kilometers southeast of Brussels.
At 3:20 a.m. police arrived at the Record Bank. Residents reported a deafening blast that wrecked a large part of the building. It didn't take long for the police to make it to the scene where they found half the building gone. They immediately found one victim. Apparently he had died shortly after the incident from head wounds but the second victim wasn’t located until later when firemen had removed much of the debris from the area. So not only did these robbers not get any money but they also lost their lives. Their first attempt became their last.
The prosecutor’s office stated that police had found large quantities of explosives. Police experts believe the men had pumped gas from a metal container through the letter-box and set off the explosives before they could get away safely. The results were not quite as intended.
All these would-be robbers had to do was spend a little time exploring options. An explosion is going to make a loud bang, more noticeable in the p.m. hours, so residents are going to wake up and call the police. These men needed to have put more time and thought into their scheme, because this attempted robbery was one of the dumbest attempts in the record of bank robbing.
